A huszadik századi háborúk története a szétszakadások története. Menyasszonyok és vőlegényeik, feleségek és férjeik, anyák és fiaik, gyermekeikkel egyedül maradó nők és hazájukért önmagukat feláldozó férfiak búcsúznak egymástól: keserűség és a hazatérés reménye vegyül ezekbe a pillanatokba.

THEATRE MEETS FILM: AWARD-WINNING DIRECTOR ADRIAN SITARU IS PREPARING A NEW PRODUCTION
During the past few months, our actors have been practising with the film director Adrian Sitaru for a new authorial project - "The man who could speak only what he read" (written and directed by: Adrian Sitaru). The first stage of rehearsals started in October, while the opening will take place as soon as security measures allow it.

ONLINE: TRAGEDY OF MAN BOOK LAUNCH
The International Theatre Festival Interferences will organise an online promotion event for András Visky's new book about the production of our performance The Tragedy of Man, directed by Silviu Purcărete. The online event will take place on Friday, Nov. 25th, at 12 oçlock on their facebook page.

TRAGEDY OF MAN FREE STREAMING AT INTERFERENCES INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL
This year's edition of Interferences International Theatre Festival will take place exclusively online. The main selection includes our latest production, The Tragedy of Man, directed by Silviu Purcărete. A recording can be viewed free of charge for 16 hours, starting Nov 19th at 8 p.m. until Nov 20th 12 p.m., with English subtitles.

PERFORMANCES WILL BE POSTPONED
Indoor public events - including theatre performances - were suspended until November 6th and possibly longer, as the Timis county is placed under code red for fighting the coronavirus spread. Performances which were scheduled for Oct 30-31st will be postponed.

THE FIRST STAGE OF THE FORMER ARTA CINEMA RENOVATIONS IS COMPLETED
The Proteszt Association completed the most important stage for safe renovation of the former Arta cinema:
- taking down the bricks and the ceiling in the former cinema hall
- protecting the walls by enveloping them in plastics foil
- transporting residual materials outside the premises
The roof beams were used to construct a summer stage for future open-air events.

PREVENTION SECURITY MEASURES IN THEATRE VENUES
Theatre venues will be re-opened on September 1st 2020, after the Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Health have issued a joint Order regarding prevention of the COVID19 virus spread and providing safe activities in cultural institutions across Romania.

TOURING IN HUNGARY CANCELLED DUE TO NEW PANDEMIC REGULATIONS
The Summer Festival in Budapest cancelled our performances Henry the 4th and Swan Lake Revisited (which were supposed to be presented on September 3rd and 4th) after the Hungarian authorities banned the access of foreign citizens in Hungary, due to an increase in COVID-19 cases.
