The Parallel City 2: Fabric

Director: Ana Mărgineanu
Duration: 2h
Premier: 2022-08-27 (2 years ago)

Two sisters. In 2002, one of them disappears without a trace. 20 years later, her daughter, Agnes – not a teenager anymore – is still looking for her.

The Reformated Center holds the key of this mistery.

Meeting place: vaporetto stop „Corneliu Coposu”.

Translated to EN via headphones using an app.

The unique experience created by Ana Mărgineanu (direction) and Peca Ștefan (text) is inspired by stories documented in the Fabric neighborhood and takes place in a unique and impressive space - the New Millennium Reformed Centre.

Parallel City: Fabric proposes a new challenge to the audience, the play being mediated by an app developed in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Timișoara.

The performance Parallel City: Fabric is part of the Urban Dilemmas project: The Parallel City developed by the Diogene Cultural Association in co-production with the Hungarian State Theatre "Csiky Gergely" and the German State Theatre Timișoara, in collaboration with the Politehnica University Timișoara, with the support of the New Millennium Reformed Centre and the Timișoara Public Transport Company.

The project is part of the Cultural Programme "Timisoara 2023 - European Capital of Culture" and is funded by the Municipality of Timisoara through the Project Centre.

Tickets can be purchased on tm-t.ro and orasulparalel.ro.

To attend the event, please bring a charged phone, preferably with Android operating system, a headset and a willingness to explore. The track will start at the vaporetto station "Corneliu Coposu".
