THEATRE MEETS FILM: AWARD-WINNING DIRECTOR ADRIAN SITARU IS PREPARING A NEW PRODUCTION

During the past few months, our actors have been practising with the film director Adrian Sitaru for a new authorial project - "The man who could only speak what he read" (written and directed by: Adrian Sitaru). The first stage of rehearsals started in October, while the opening will take place as soon as security measures allow it.

While sitting together at a table, the characters share opinions on morality and conscience: Are there any circumstances that justify a crime? Does the criminal become a hero when the context justifies their actions? Is an animal's life less valuable than a human life? Meantime, Sitaru's script explores the degree to which our reality, imagination and rationality are influenced by the language we acquare as children and our (conscious or unconscious) choice of words.

The spectators will be able to watch the performance as played on the stage, but also the video which will be projected on a huge screen above the stage, underlying that different angles which provide access to the world of characters can influence our perception of reality and a work of art.

The cast is made of experiences actors as well as young recent graduates: Kocsárdi Levente, Lőrincz Rita, Czüvek Loránd, Jancsó Előd, Vajda Boróka, Lanstyák Ildikó, Hegyi Kincső, Molnos András Csaba, Tokai Andrea, Kiss Attila, Mátyás Zsolt Imre, Barti Lehel András, Lukács-György Szilárd, Erdős Bálint, Vass Richárd, Vadász Bernadett.

In 2018 he directed the performance "Illegitimate" for the Hungarian State Theatre in Cluj-Napoca, using for the first time virtual reality in Romania's theatres.
