They are hungry, willing, they are fighting, smearing, hugging, screaming, crying, waltzing - four women. Four generations of women from here, the nearby Cracow, Poland, Central Europe. A slice of central-European history; fifty infernal years, with dreams that burst out and fade out again and again, break-ups, clashes, risings and hemorrhages. A destiny transmitted from a generation to another, through a particular feminine branch, the same as in Greek tragedies. Four portraits and crumbles of a continent behind them.
They have history in their suitcases, and the eternal woman, terrible but still wonderful.
