The joint showcase organized by the "Csiky Gergely" Hungarian State Theater and the German State Theater was a real success

At the beginning of February, after the last performance of the showcase, the two theaters in the city that share the same building completed yet another of their common projects. The showcase took place over five days, when the audience saw seven outstanding performances by the two theaters, the series of events being considered a success at the end. In addition to the loyal audience of the two theaters, the performances were also seen by approximately 50 critics, festival curators, theater managers and professionals in the field, from Romania and abroad, coming from an area stretching from Belarus to Portugal. The meetings with the audience and the discussions that followed the performances from January 30 to February 3 created an opportunity for deeper interpretation, professional exchange of ideas and placed the theatrical life of Timișoara in an international context.

The joint German-Hungarian initiative not only facilitated professional dialogue between the two theaters, but also created an opportunity for their audiences to meet in the theater. Thanks to this event, the theaters' spectators and guests discovered different artistic approaches and perspectives, which contribute to strengthening cultural cohesion and enriching the artistic life of the city. The showcase included the most appreciated recent productions of the theaters involved: "The Cloud Tectonics", "The Son", "1978", "The Dragon" and "Danaos" and two children's shows, equally appreciated by children and adults, "A Christmas Story" and "Mamma Badu's Children". All the performances will have future showings in the upcoming period, thus offering a new opportunity to the audience that could not attend. The two theaters encourage their loyal audience to also discover the performances of the partner theater, thus promoting diversity and cultural dialogue.

All performances of the German State Theatre in Timișoara and the "Csiky Gergely" Hungarian State Theatre in Timișoara benefit from translation in Romanian and English.
