Street theater seminar and bondage technique workshop at #teszt15 festival
The Euroregional Theater Festival TEST will include a street theater seminar and a bondage technique workshop - both free of charge provided registration is sent by May 19!
Stefano Tè, the artistic director of the Teatro dei Venti troupe from Modena (Italy) will give a seminar on street theater in urban spaces - on May 23 starting 6 pm. The seminar addresses to all those interested: professional and amateur actors, other artists in the theater field, students, theater spectators. The presentation will be in Italian, with simultaneous translation into Romanian. Teatro dei Venti's participation in TESZT is supported by the ATER Foundation in Italy.
Stefano Tè presented his productions "Moby Dick" and "Draaagonul" at TESZT, large-scale shows that use city squares as a complementary background to the setting of the show. Moreover, together with Teatro dei Venti (troupe founded in 2005), Tè created performances involving prisoners, psychiatric patients, emigrants, people living in marginal areas. Currently, the director and his troupe are preparing for the year 2026 the production "Human Measure" which will also involve into the show the inhabitants of the cities where it takes place. At TESZT2024, Teatro dei Venti presents "Pentesilea", directed by Stefano Tè, on May 21 and 22 at 6pm in Piața Libertății, free of charge (recommended age 12+).
The Bondage technique workshop will be organized on May 20, starting at 7pm. The coordinator - Boshi Nawa (art name of Ulrich Krähling from Germany) - will delve into the history of Shibari and hold a practical course on two knot braid patterns. Ropes will be provided by the organizers and can also be purchased from the Boshi Nawa master. The ancient Japanese technique of knot tying is used therapeutically in art and will be part of the performance "Ismene Dancing", by the Kristóf Szabó FACE ensemble from Cologne, scheduled at TESZT on May 21, 9pm. The event is intended for participants over 16 from the artistic background or anyone interested in learning the technique and art of bondage. The workshop will be held in English, no translation is provided for.
