Performing on tour in August
The Csiky Gergely Hungarian State Theatre in Timișoara will present Kokan Mladenović's Swan Lake Revisited on August 2nd at Gyula Summer Stage and on August 8th on Esztergom Summer Stage in Hungary. Due to prevention measures amidst the COVID19 pandemic, theatres in the region will continue their activity only on open-air stages.
Even if the performance is played/danced on the music from Tchaikovsky's ballet, Kokan Mladenović and our actors have deconstructed together all our fairytale heroes from the standpoint of today's political correctness. Is it still possible to believe in fairytales and our childhood heroes? They might have stopped chasing dragons, now they are reimbursing bank loans, frustrated by climate changes, tweeting and retweeting while they are producing tons of garbage waste every month. The dwarfs have become aggressive, the wolf was forbidden to be violent, Little Red Riding Hood is aimlessly wandering in the dark forrest.
The second event of our Esztergom tour is the Shake Kvartett concert, Ruzd Ra! on August 9th. The organiser of Rovinhud Wine Salon in Timișoara, Zoltán Szövérdfi-Szép, will have a presentation about Banat wines before the concert.
